Lookbook: George V Paris

A very belated post on Paris... I am still catching up and going through photos; wishing I could be back there now! On that note, Michelle is jetting off to Europe for the next three weeks so be sure to follow us on instagram to see what she is up to!

Paris has some of the best restaurants in the world and my favorite from our recent trip was Le Cinq at the Four Seasons George V hotel. We celebrated our three year anniversary dinner and it was such a perfect evening. From the most exquisite floral arrangements (12,000 blooms driven in from Amsterdam weekly!), impeccable service, and exceptional food (my husband is still talking about the langoustines). There is a reason they have received three Michelin stars for twelve consecutive years. For anyone visiting Paris, I would highly recommend!

Lookbook: Black & White

Our last night in Paris, we did not have formal dinner reservations and wanted to do something a bit more low-key. We took a recommendation from a local Parisian for the best rooftop views at the Hotel Raphael Terrace (a hidden gem, he said). Rooftop garden with a champagne bar and stunning views of all of Paris, including the nearby Arc de Triomphe and Eiffel Tower - seriously perfect. After drinks, we went for dinner at the classic brasserie/piano bar Closerie des Lilas, and then ended the night listening to the DJ at the scene-y Hotel Costes.

For a more casual evening out, I wore one of my go-to outfits: a solid silk camisole, skinny jeans, heels and Chanel bag. I had been wanting this jacket for awhile and it was sold out at Bergdorf's in black; luckily, I spotted it at the Isabel Marant boutique on Avenue Victor Hugo!

Lookbook: Paris by Day

Apologies for our recent absence! Michelle has been busy hosting a fabulous pop up shop in New York City for the past two weeks and I just returned last week from Paris. At my birthday dinner, my husband surprised me with an envelope of tickets to the Paris Opéra Bastille and the Roland-Garros French Open! I had two days to pack and he had arranged for my mother to fly in to watch our son. It was the sweetest surprise and perfect little getaway to celebrate our three year anniversary and relax a little before baby boy #2 arrives in early October.

Paris is my absolute favorite city in the world. I could walk around and stare at the beautiful architecture all day. The best hotels, restaurants, shopping, museums...

For a day of café-hopping, shopping, perusing the Musee d'Orsay and a walk along the Seine, I wore a sleeveless silk blouse, white skinny jeans, and accessorized with a colorful Hermes scarf and classic Chanel ballet flats.

We stayed at the   Saint James Hotel , a boutique Relais & Ch â teaux property, which I would highly recommend. The only ch â teau-hotel in Paris, it was redesigned in 2009 by New York designer Bambi Sloan; I loved its grand, yet whimsical decor. There is a gorgeous library bar and outdoor garden, and the Guerlain spa was heaven.
